Who am I?
Kevin S. Schaller is a freelance writer, writing primarily for GameRevolution.com. He started his career covering events and reviewing games for various blogs and community sites like Digital Press and Gathering of Gamers, going so far as to travel to Japan on his own dime to cover both Tokyo Game Show and the Japanese retro-gaming scene before any professional compensation.
He has created and maintained a regular column on Game Revolution titled "Retro Revolution," a series of articles focusing on classic gaming topics, both their everyday annoyances and enthralling moments. Topics discussed in the column have ranged from the dwindling sizes in gaming manuals and Batman games to Steve Jobs' effect on gaming and a retrospective on the PSP. His collection of work can be found under the "Kevin's Work" link at the top of the page - which is always being updated with new material - and his blog is The Ramble, a collection of thoughts on life, work and the search for humanity in an inhumane world (OK, that last part's a bit of exaggeration, but it's close enough).
Kevin has a few notable hobbies, such as playing poker, writing poetry and fiction, performing stand-up comedy, and trying to find the answer to life, the universe and everything. For any bookings or potential work, he can be contacted through the following venues:
